We’ve seen lists for the most popular baby boys and girls, and the name of a favourite pet is also a regular list, but how about the the list for the favourite name for your car?

It’s not really a question car owners would be too forthcoming to give the answer to, but there are a growing number of people who have given their car a name, and now Fiat have proof.

The Italian car brand launched a scheme earlier this year where they would allow Fiat 500 owners to apply for free name stickers for their car, and already 3,000 owners have appled for the personalised name stickers and there are no surprises as to the top five most popular names.

Fifi the Fiat 500, which is obviously a nod to the car’s name is the most popular name, closely followed by Italian classic names such as Bella and Luigi. And while Minty may seem like a tribute to Eastenders, it is actually more likely to be in reference to the popular shade of car.

The more traditional name of Freddie completes the top five.

Personalisation is growing increasingly popular amongst car owners and Fiat have led the way with hundreds of different options on the Fiat 500. Giving your car a name is the ultimate personal touch though and those wanting to get involved can do so by heading to my-500.com.

Personalisation has been a big trend over the last couple of years but Fiat 500 owners have embraced this since day one," John MacDonald, Mopar service, parts and customer care director said when the name sticker scheme was launched. "By offering them a chance to take this one step further we hope that they will be able to add even more of their personality to their beloved 500."
