Want To Own Mike Tyson’s Stretched Range Rover?

Tue 29th Oct 2019

If a super-stretched limo-style Land Rover has always been your dream motor then you are in luck as a specialist auction is set to put a unique vehicle under the hammer next week.

The 10ft long 1994 Range Rover Classic LSE was transformed by the Sultan of Brunei, with modifications costing £135,000, which include three luxurious seats, full air conditioning, a top of the range (for the time) stereo system and two TV sets.

The eye-catching vehicle has been lightly driven, with only 16,800 miles in the 4.2 litre V8 engine and as well as a royal seal of approval comes with one more famous previous occupant - former heavyweight champion of the world, Mike Tyson. ‘Iron Mike’ used the car way back in 2000 when he was fighting in Scotland.

Joe Watts, classic car specialist at Silverstone Auctions, said: "It took a lot of money to create this - about £135,000 - and now it is possible.

"It was created by the go-to guys at the time who specialised in Range Rover conversions, so it has been professionally created and has since been very well looked after.

"This is actually quite a tasteful machine, certainly more so than a Hummer.

"Whoever buys it will own a Range Rover that has been created and looked after by specialists in this marque."

The landmark Land Rover doesn’t come with a knockout price, it is listed at just £24,000, but could attract higher offers with its illustrious history.
